Los Angeles, CA – (August 11, 2009) – World Wide Motion Pictures Corporation (formerly OTCBB:WWMO) has announced that it will release RED ROSES AND PETROL, an award-winning feature film starring Golden Globe nominee Malcolm McDowell on DVD on Tuesday, October 13, 2009.

Based on the Irish play by acclaimed writer Joseph O’Connor and directed by Tamar Simon Hoffs, the darkly comedic drama offers a tour-de-force showcase for McDowell as Enda Doyle, a university librarian, poet, and rascal who is the flawed patriarch of a dysfunctional family struggling to come to terms with his death and with one another. Unfolding amidst a haze of cigarette smoke and uneaten food, as Enda’s family gathers in Dublin for his wake, RED ROSES AND PETROL explores the emotional dynamics of familial relationships with sharp humor and surprising turns.

McDowell’s body of work encompasses more than 40 years of cinematic achievements, including such classic films as A Clockwork Orange, O Lucky Man!, If…., and Time After Time. He has also been a regular guest star on NBC’s “Heroes” and HBO’s “Entourage.”

RED ROSES AND PETROL has garnered awards from the Avignon Film Festival, the Boston Irish Film Festival, the Newport Beach Film Festival, and the Toronto International Film Festival.

In a first for World Wide Motion Pictures Corporation, beginning 9:00am Pacific Time on Monday, August 24, the company will begin accepting online pre-sale orders for the DVD at www.redrosesandpetrol.com.  A “Collector’s Edition” set of authentic 35mm film frames cut directly from an official theatrical release print of RED ROSES AND PETROL will be included as an exclusive gift with each order prior to September 8, 2009, while supplies last.  Those who purchase the DVD by online pre-sale can literally “own a piece of the film” that was projected in cinemas during the film’s U.S. theatrical engagement.  Pre-orders of the DVD will ship on October 6, 2009, a full week before the film is released in stores nationally to the rest of the public.

The film’s memorable soundtrack features music from the platinum-selling Irish American band Flogging Molly and Susanna Hoffs of The Bangles. Selected music from the film, including bonus tracks by the Rainmakers, Joe Puerta of Ambrosia, and the Elders, is also being released on Tuesday, October 13, by Warrior Records and will be available on CD, iTunes and other outlets.
