Los Angeles, CA, August 08, 2019 –(PR.com)– World Wide Motion Pictures Corporation (formerly OTCBB: WWMO) has announced the non-theatrical release of “The Road to Mother” (theroadtomother.com), Kazakhstan’s official entry for best foreign language film in the Academy Awards and Golden Globe Awards. Written by Timur Zhaksylykov and directed by Akan Satayev, the sweeping historical drama based on true events has completed its theatrical run on the AMC and Laemmle theater circuits and is now available in all ancillary markets. A spectacular panorama of this Satellite Country of the former Soviet Union and its years of separation, conflict and sacrifice before, during and after World War II, the epic drama is also a stirring testament to the power of maternal love in a time of upheaval.

World Wide’s long standing ancillary sales sub-distributors will include Kino Lorber for DVD, Video on Demand, streaming, pay TV, free TV and new digital media, and Swank Motion Pictures, which encompasses ships-at-sea (cruise lines), colleges/universities, hospitals, military bases, rail and U.S. government agencies throughout the world. The Film will release in the Non-Theatrical markets starting in September and rolling out to various platforms throughout the Fall.

“These non-theatrical platforms give all movie lovers, including those outside the major markets who usually don’t get a chance to see them on the big screen, an opportunity to experience high quality foreign films,” stated A. Robert Sobolik, Executive Vice President for World Wide. “Sadly, these films, even the most prestigious like “The Road to Mother,” usually don’t receive enough theatrical coverage, opening on only a couple of screens in a few select cities, and often times the only way most of the general public can see them at all is on streaming services like Netflix or Hulu. World Wide is dedicated to bringing the best of international cinema like ‘The Road to Mother’ to all movie-goers.”

“The Road to Mother” premiered at the 38th Moscow International Film Festival to critical acclaim, and has been showcased at numerous other festivals including: the New York Eurasian Film Festival (USA) – Winner: Best Foreign Film; the Marco Polo Film Festival (Croatia) – Winner: Best Film; WeLink International Film Festival (USA) – Winner: Best Feature Film; the Eurasian Bridge International Film Festival (Yalta) – Winner: Grand Prix and Best Actress for Altynai Nogherbek; and the Almaty Independent Film Festival (Kazakhstan) – Winner: Tulpar Prize. Additionally, “The Road to Mother” was recognized by the Ak IIbirs National Film Awards (Kyrgyzstan) in the category of Best Central Asian Film.
